Hi,

I just bought a brand new Nokia C6. I have to say, i'm very satisfied with the phone when it's in good shape, but it hangs a lot. When I lock the keypad on my phone, the phone locks itself and no amount of pressing and holding any button will revive it. This happens randomly. I have to remove and replace the battery. This happens around 6-7 times a day. I have tried to reset the phone, but it still got the problem.

Does anyone have ANY help to offer?

Same problem here. I bought the phone last week at Adyar,Chennai at Nokia priority dealer shop.It hanged in the shop itself.Shopkeeper said its because of low battery.But the phone keeps on hanging once in a hour.

It mostly happens when i recieve a call.

But sometimes it just hangs by itself.

Only option is to remove battery then reinsert and restart.

Went to the Nokia customer care yesterday and they took the phone and flashed it and returned to me.Again the problem is persisting.Again went to Nokia care and complained,they are now keeping my phone under observation for few days.

Hope Nokia corrects this problem.Its unfair after spending 14,000INR and getting a faulty phone.Threads on the net reveal that this problem is with all C6 phones.

Same here..Bought Nokia C6-00 on the 8th of October. It keeps on hanging when I lock or unlock the touchscreen. t\This is the first time Nokia has disappointed me. After reading all these discussions it seems like this model itself is problematic.

Even .I have updated firmware 11.0.29 . I am also facing this problem since when I bought(10 oct bangalore).My phone gets hangs, it automatically gets dies i mean gets off, i can't switch on it again. I have to remove the battery and reinsert it to start this Dabba.I am very Disappointed .I hope Nokia must give another firmware update to resolve this problem soon.

I got Nokia C6 as a birthday present but  I am very disappointed with this phone. it hangs all the time, when on call, opening application or sumtimes jst on standby mode.. I have been using nokia since for ever but I am really really NOT happy with Nokia. they will be losing their customer base in India pretty soon..

Hi, I have the same problem. It look like C6-00 software change on some events status of phone to wake up but it is still lock so it is no possibility to really wake phone up. my software version is 10.0.021 product code is: 059C1B1 type: RM-612 made in Hungary Regards, Artur

I was on a nokia shop to purchase nokia c6 but the shopkeeper told me about the hanging problem in it. I am really disappointed and keen to know if the problem is resolved. Hope that nokia officials would respond positively, reply as soon as possible.

Folks,

Nokia has issued an advisory/ document to all its Nokia Care points in India & China today. So, if you are living in this region - head to the nearest Noka Care point starting tomorrow. For rest of the regions, Nokia team is working on the release of instructions to Nokia Care points.

just turn OFF the auto keypad lock .... it hasnt hanged uptil now !!!! i also installed many applications still it hasnt hanged a bit !!! hope dis helps .... please tell me if u hav ne errors....

I've even updated my phone's firmware to v 20.0.041 but that doesn't help this either.

Haven't had a day where the phone doesn't hang for the past one and a half months

I am also facing same issue..It hangs daily 3-4 times and need to remove the battery and replace battery to fix it tempororly.I have given this handset to Nokia care to check the issue ,they have done software upgradtaion..still i am facing same issue .Again i have given it back to Nokia centre yesterday ,Waiting for the device back..I am damn sure they wont fix the issue.Now i am totally disappointed with Nokia..Its wasting our money...
